Isn't he handsome?
She is so strong--this is usually how we find her after sleeping.
Yum, rice...
Getting the hang of it!We decided Thanksgiving was the perfect day for Lyla's first rice cereal meal. We attempted somewhere around ten spoonfuls before she started pulling away. The doctor said not to force it...just keep trying a little at a time. She mostly pushed the spoon out of her mouth with her tongue but I heard her swallow at least once. We'll just keep trying until she gets the hang of it. Much to my disappointment, the video isn't posting--it has shown an error twice now. I'll try again but for now pictures of the aftermath will have to do.
Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving and have safe travels.

One more video from this morning...I was trying to capture "the cough"

One happy family

Lyla had her Four Month check up and shots today. She handled all three shots so well! Once they were over, she perched up on Daddy's shoulder and calmed right down. She weighs 13 lb 9 oz and measures 25.25 inches long so she has gained just over 6 pounds and grown exactly 5 inches since birth! He says everything looks good and she is right on target. He also said we can feel free to start her on rice cereal any time now. I bet you can't wait to see the pictures/video of that, can you? We'll pick some up next trip to the store...so check back later. In other news, Lyla is still sleeping pretty well at night with the occasional rough night here and there. I can't complain. She hasn't been wanting to nap for more than 45 minutes at a time for a couple weeks now but this morning she took a good nap so maybe she is getting back into the swing of things. Of course, she is snoozing right now but that is probably the baby tylenol at work. That's about it for now.

I couldn't post without a picture of Lyla, could I?
