Snow Angels

Lyla's favorite thing to do when it snows is make snow angels. She also likes making snowballs, but the snow we had January 31st wasn't the greatest snowball-making-snow.

Attempt at a snowball

She wasn't satisfied with the angel's head

One more before going in for cocoa and a movie!

December 1-24, 2012

PJ arrived while we were in Georgia for Thanksgiving

His many fun hiding places are scattered throughout this post.

Hanging outdoor lights

She loves helping her Daddy

Rex supervised Lyla & I while we decorated the tree

He got bored (Actually, it turned out that he was sick with a cold)

Rex loved the singing and dancing snowman and penguin

Southern Lights at the Kentucky Horse Park

Waiting to see Santa!
She was not wearing a hat, but was standing in front of a toy elf.

Rex's 1st picture with Santa. He couldn't have cared less.

Lyla's pony was named Twix

I love how she sleeps sometimes

Christmas Pinwheels for a cookie exchange at church

Silly PJ wearing Lyla's ring on his hat

PJ delivered Lyla's letter to Santa and wrote her back

Lyla's friend, Aiden, gave her this Barbie.
Lyla thought Barbie would like PJ.
This was all her.

PJ showed Lyla that he knows the true meaning of Christmas

Mimi & DDaddy came in town for Lyla's ballet recital

They kept Rex so Seth and I could go to the Friday performance with Granny & Papa

The Toymaker's Son, Friday Performance

Practicing the curtain call

So proud of my little dancer

Seeing Santa at "Suzanne's" Bank

 Coloring a picture for Santa

She wanted to give Santa her picture

Gingerbread House with Daddy

The Toymaker's Son, Saturday Performance

The Chinese Dolls

Silly Dolls

Ready to take their bows

Lyla with Miss Sarah

Santa delivered goody bags to the kids with the help of our local fire department!

Lyla was less-than-excited about the fruit

Then she announced there was candy...

...and Mimi moved in for the steal!

Mimi & DDaddy brought Christmas early!

Lyla will get a lot of use of this bike/scooter for years to come

We all joined in the fun!

Lyla has not stopped playing with her fairies

Lyla's School Christmas Performance

Shielding her face from the paparazzi

PJ liked the flowers Mimi & DDaddy bought for Lyla.
Lyla thought the elf she made at school could be friends with PJ.

Lyla's School Christmas Party

Each child brought a $5-10 gift to exchange

Addison and Lyla ended up receiving each other's gifts!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the Christmas season

Church Community Group Party

Rex started Physical Therapy in December

Lyla has always been Rex's biggest cheerleader

She has enjoyed helping him with his exercises

Lyla couldn't believe that PJ wanted to be a fairy for a day

Lunch with the Shorts
Little did we know, Rex had a blowout that had leaked up his back and onto Shane's shirt
Thankfully, Shane had a clean shirt in the truck and I had a change of clothes for Rex, too.

Suzanne & Shane bought a house closer to us (yea!) and they took us to see it after lunch

I finished Rex's Christmas stocking just days before Christmas

Seth had the pleasure of putting together Lyla's dollhouse

Apparently, there were no instructions. He just had to go from the box.

Such fancy wrapping

We knew we would spend all of Christmas day at Granny & Papa's house so we gave Lyla her dollhouse Christmas Eve

The fairies wasted no time moving in

Pretty girls at church on Christmas Eve

Lyla followed Sam around while Sam's mom and I practiced the music for the service.
Too cute.

We let Lyla open a gift or two Christmas Eve--this nightgown was one of the gifts

We made a birthday cake for Jesus

Lyla even sang to Him

Then we left some birthday cake and milk for Santa
