Three Months

In three months, our baby boy arrives!

And three months after I give birth, Lyla and I get to be in a wedding!
Lyla gets to be a flower girl and I get to be a bridesmaid.
I told Tina, the bride, that this is excellent motivation for me to lose my baby weight super fast.
(Yikes!)

Lyla and I recently took a little roadtrip with Tina so she could try on what she thought was her dream dress.
It was!! She ordered it that day!
I would love to show it to you...but you know I can't.
What if Kenny checks my blog...okay, it's not likely...but you can't be too careful.

Waving to herself in the mirror

She got the biggest kick out of that mirror

Little Seth

Little Ashley

 Little (Aunt) Andrea
Yep, Andrea...this looks like something you would teach her
Charming, isn't it?
We had a little fun and tried on some dresses, too.
Lyla absolutely LOVED having a big stage on which to twirl and dance.

This is one of the bridesmaid dress choices but it won't be red.

She actually asked the saleswoman if she could take the flowers home.
It was a fun, fun day.

Family of Three

It has recently hit me that we won't be a family of THREE for much longer. Seth and I enjoyed our first 5 years when it was just the two of us and it's been a great (almost) 5 years with just the three of us. In just a few short months, our little man will be here making us a family of FOUR! People keep asking me if we are "done" now. Now that we have one of each, are we finished having kids? I don't think so. I mean, I truly don't know. I grew up in a big family and I loved it. I still love it. I don't think you know when your family is complete...until it's...well...complete. We'll just have to wait and see. God knows what our family picture will look like. For now, we will just take it one day at a time.

We are so blessed to have each other.
(Lyla had just gotten her first Barbie from Teresa. She's a fairy!)

I hope our baby boy likes being silly!
He has to...it's in his genes.

Snow White/Rapunzel's Lost Treasure

"Do we have the Tinkerbell movies?"
(This had become a frequent question in our house before Christmas.)

"No, Honey, we don't."

"Ashley has them at her house."
(We watched them on the Disney channel at Ashley's house while we kept Luke.)

"That's true-we watched them at Ashley's but she doesn't have them."

So, when Mimi & DDaddy asked for Christmas gift ideas for Lyla, I immediately had an answer. She was one happy girl when she got all three! Her favorite is "Tinkerbell & The Lost Treasure." I don't know how many times we have watched it since Christmas.

Tinkerbell is given the responsibility of making the "Fall Scepter" using a rare "moon stone." Naturally, Lyla wanted a moon stone scepter. So, I tried my hand at paper mache! Found a small balloon and some blue tissue paper, got out the modge podge and we went to work!

Ta da! Couldn't get her to smile. Oh, well.
I love that she is wearing her new Snow White dress and her Rapunzel braid.
This girl LOVES to dress up and pretend.
