Fall Break Part 2: Georgia (October 9-12)

Rex finally got over his stomach bug. He wasn't 100%, but was much better so the kids and I headed to Georgia for a few days!

Lyla has all of a sudden decided she likes pictures.
She ASKED to have her picture made in front of this display at the Tennessee Welcome Center.

A kind man saw me taking her picture and offered to take one of all three of us.

Lyla and DDaddy climbed to the top of Stone Mountain!

I always remind Dad to have someone get a picture of both of them when he takes her places.
I love this photo.

They took the Skyride down the mountain

Happy boy!

Mimi enjoyed snuggling with Rex

He didn't want to snuggle or sit still, though

Lyla made Rex this "crown."

Serious vs Silly

Mimi & DDaddy gave Jensen her shower gift a day early

Ya think she was excited about her crock pot?

Jensen and Jesse got engaged in July and were married (since this is posting so late) in November!

How is my nephew old enough to be married...and have crock pot? I'm old.

Jensen also got a silver bracelet with her new monogram on it.
Years ago Mom bought them for all the girls in our family (Lyla even has a little heart-shaped one) so it is only fitting that Jensen "join the club."

Lyla and I were lucky enough to be in town for Jensen's bridal shower

Delicious and beautiful cupcakes

Celebrating the beautiful bride!

Lyla was the youngest shower guest and loved it

Lyla and I went to the park with my good, high school friend, Autumn

Lyla had no problem making friends

Gorgeous girl on a gorgeous day

Autumn and I have been friends for 20 years. We try to get together once every year (or two) and always pick up where we left off. Thankful for her friendship!

Lyla and I continued our Mommy-Daughter Day at LegoLand!

This is the face of a girl who is glad the dark, shooting ride is over

Ready for the 3D Lego movie!

I was proud of my colorful design

Lyla's car won. Mine crashed and fell apart.

Our day wasn't over yet...on to SkyView Atlanta!

As I was driving downtown at 9 o'clock on a Saturday night, I was thinking I was crazy

It was totally worth it, though!

Grateful for this one-on-one time with my girl. She is so special, smart, and loving!

We met Anaya and her mom in line and decided to ride together. They were like two peas in a pod!

Lyla was sound asleep on the way home. It was 11 o'clock and had been a full day.

I am so glad we could make this trip and visit with our family. I love them so much and am thankful for the relationship Lyla (and now Rex) has with her Mimi and DDaddy!
