Lexington Legends

Before we talk about the awesome time we had at the game, I'll show you Lyla's cute, asymmetrical bob! Her hair was looking quite scraggly and needed a good trim. I like her with short hair.

July 3

Seth's employer services all of the John Deere equipment for the Lexington Legends so we scored awesome seats for the game! It was the first minor league baseball game for both of the kids. The Legends lost, but it was still a great game AND they had Independence Day fireworks afterward!

Rex wasn't a fan at first, but once he got over the sound (thanks to Daddy holding his ears), he enjoyed the show.

We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores with Teresa. We watched fireworks from her porch, too.

Physical Therapy at the Playground

July 3

The weather was nice so Kathy, Rex's physical therapist, suggested a change of venue.

It was a great session! Plus, the bonus was that Lyla was bummed about having to go with us to therapy, but changed her tune when we headed to the park. She made friends, of course, and made lots of progress on the monkey bars!

4H Cloverbud Camp & Some Datenights

June 27-29

 I'm so glad Addison's parents told us about Cloverbud Camp! 

 She wasn't really in the mood for pictures.

Plus, I think I attempted this AFTER we made the realization that we forgot her bunnies (that she sleeps with). She didn't understand why I couldn't drive the 2+ hours home and back so she could have them. Rex and I went to the local Family Dollar in Carlisle, Kentucky, and found a puppy for her to sleep with. She named him Biscuit and he was a perfect substitute for her bunnies.

Granny & Papa kept Rex Saturday night so Seth and I could go out--P.F. Chang's and Orange Leaf!

We were also able to sleep in before going to get Lyla from camp.

Belated Father's Day on Laurel Lake

The Martin family celebrated Father's Day a week late by renting a pontoon on Laurel Lake

We were shocked that neither Rex nor Lyla slept at all on the way home. Not one bit. It was a great day full of fun and many memories! I think this will become an annual event!
